Privacy Statement

Recent GDPR regulations have required greater transparency from companies who collect, store and use customer information. I do not have a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system or database as such, so hold no information with the intention of sending you regular communications. However, I am happy to provide the relevant assurances as covered in the notes below.

Empathyce Limited is a private limited company owned and managed by me, Jerry Angrave.

Should you ever have any concerns about data I hold please contact me:

How I use your information

If you have asked about forthcoming events, I will update you when I have information but will delete your details after 12 months.

When someone visits I use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

I don’t use cookies on my website so no data is collected in that respect. I use WordPress as the publishing tool for the website but it does not store any personal data.

I do not have a newsletter so do not collect personal data for that.

If you send an email or a message via social media, your details and content are not shared with anyone. If you send me a message via the response form on the website, I ask for your name, email address and contact number. The low volume of such messages means I respond to each individually and I do not store the details in any database other than as an email in my Microsoft Outlook. I will then only ever contact you if there is a relevant update in the reason you enquired about.

Empathyce Limited is registered with the Information Commissioners Office, the UK’s independent body set up to uphold information rights.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act 1998, you have rights as an individual which you can exercise in relation to the information we hold about you.

You can read more about these rights here –

Access to personal information

I try to be as open as I can be in terms of giving people access to their personal information. I do not have a CRM system or database as such but individuals can find out if we hold any personal information by making a ‘subject access request’ under the Data Protection Act 1998. If we do hold information about you we will:

  • give you a description of it;
  • tell you why we are holding it;
  • tell you who it could be disclosed to (though I never pass such information on); and
  • let you have a copy of the information in an intelligible form.

If we do hold information about you, you can ask us to correct any mistakes or remove the information.
